A group of approximately 30 people were reminded to be a TEAM player at an event in Tullamore today (Monday) marking the fourth annual European Epilepsy Day.
Launched by Senator John Whelan, those gathered in Tullamore were reminded by Epilepsy Ireland community resource officer Margaret Bassett to
T - Take care to protect the person
E - Ensure to stay with them
A - Allow the seizure to run its course
M - Move them into the recovery position after the seizure has finished
A “Living Well with Epilepsy” resource pack made possible thanks to lottery funding last year was also promoted at today’s event.
