Tubber crash sees 8 injured

A crash between a car and a mini-bus in Tubber last Saturday evening resulted in eight people being taken to hospital.


Sergeant Ollie Baker of Tullamore Garda Station told the Offaly Independent the collision occured at approximately 7.30pm on Saturday, February 8.


It's understood the passengers on the bus were young men travelling from Clara to Athlone for a night out.


Following the incident fire, ambulance and garda crews attended the scene, and eight people were transferred to hospital in Tullamore.


The injuries sustained as a result of the accident have been described as not serious.
