Tragic Kevin being laid to rest

Kevin Lambe's funeral Mass is taking place in Tullamore's Church of the Assumption.

The funeral Mass of Kevin Lambe is taking place about now.

Thirty-four-year-old Kevin died in Australia on February 15 last following a tragic accident.

His body arrived in Ireland on Monday, and he reposed at the Arden View home of his parents Jim and Margaret yesterday.

Kevin's body was removed this morning (Wednesday) at 9.30am to the Church of the Assumption in Tullamore for 10am funeral Mass. Burial will take place after Mass in Clonminch Cemetery.

Kevin has been described by friends since his passing as "the life and soul of a party" and "generous to a fault".

A benefit night for the Lambe family has been arranged for March 16 next in Tullamore GAA Centre. Tickets for the night can be booked and donations made by contacting Jody Duffy on 086 8674381, Nigel Mannion on 086 8360828 or Noel Connolly on 087 6296232.

Kevin leaves behind heartbroken parents Jim and Margaret; siblings Vinny, Jimmy, Rebecca and Dermot as well as a circle of extended family and friends both in Ireland and Australia.
