Almost two years have passed since the tragic accident that claimed the life of Emma Dooley as she made her way from the home she shared with husband Greg in Ferbane to her workplace in Birr.

Since her death in June 2012, Emma’s husband Greg has been at the helm of fundraising efforts that have led to some €40,000 being donated to both local and national causes that represented some of Emma’s passions.

This week Greg revealed the foundation’s beneficiaries, and has also put on record his gratitude for those who helped his efforts along the way.

Beneficiaries include The Cluny Unit at Gallen CS, Emma's own primary school and the Strange Boat Donor Foundation.

For a full list of those who benefited from the efforts of Greg and his supporters, and comments from Greg, see today's Offaly Independent.
