Heatons is coming to Edenderry

It's understood department store Heatons is on its way to Edenderry.

The retailer is expected to share space with Tesco in the town.

The arrival of Heatons is to bring new jobs to Edenderry, while all jobs in Tesco are also secure.

Speaking to the Offaly Independent newly elected councillor Noel Cribbin, who's from Edenderry, said the news is great for the area.

"To have them both under the one roof will be great for shoppers and hopefully they will bring many shoppers into Edenderry," he said.
