Birr beach a runaway success
Birr might usually be miles from a beach, but Tesco Ireland changed all that with a one-day beach in Camcor Park last Saturday, July 5.
The novel temporary feature in the town included pony rides, sand castles and a free barbecue.
The 'beach' took over 100 tonnes of sand to achieve, but none of that has been wasted as it's all being donated to local sports clubs.
