Offaly won't get much sun today, but it's escaped the worst of the bad weather last night.

Bad weather leaves offaly mostly unaffected

Offaly has escaped the worst of the country's bad weather last night.

ESB Networks reported some 24 customers in the Clonminch area of Tullamore as being without power since shortly after 11pm last night (Sunday), but power was restored in the area mid-morning today.

According to Offaly County Council while the weather led to some minor flooding and some branches being felled around the county, there are no major issues for the council to contend with today and no road closures are in place.

While there's some sun to be had in Offaly today, in the main the weather is likely to include rain and wind while temperatures are expected to remain at an average of about eleven degrees Celsius.

Tomorrow the outlook looks slightly sunnier, with slacking winds and a slightly higher average temperature of twelve degrees Celsius.
