Rahugh drama group to support offaly quadruplets

Rahugh Drama Group will peform John B Keane’s The Year of the Hiker in support of Offaly’s Kelly quadruplets this Thursday, April 2.

Kilclonfert’s David and Anita Kelly celebrated the birth of four boys at the Rotunda Hospital in Dublin on Saturday, February 28. Newborns Tom (2lb 5 ounces), James (1lb 9 ounces), Charlie (2lb 4 ounces) and Luke (2lb 8 ounces) were born at 29 weeks. They have an older brother Matthew, who is just over a year old.

Anita has been discharged but the four boys remain in hospital. Their auntie, Elaine Kelly Dunne said “everything is going well” and the boys are coming along well. However, it’s unclear when they will be able to return home to their parents and brother.

As Anita is a former member, Rahugh Drama Group have decided to hold a special one night production of John B Keane’s The Year of the Hiker in support of the quads. It follows two succesful runs of the show in March.

The show will take place in Rahugh Hall on Thursday, April 2 at 8.30pm. Pre-booking is essential to secure a seat. Contact Patricia on 044 92 23776 for bookings.
