Knightsbrook claimed another scalp in the quarter-final of the Challenge Cup with a 1-0 win away to high flying Drogheda-based Marsh Celtic who had knocked out Rock Celtic in the last round.

Eddie Murray was on hand to score the all important goal for the Meath side.

Rock Celtic bowed out of the Leinster Junior Cup away Trinity Corinthians 4-5 on penalties after a late Chris Connolly goal had cancelled out an earlier converted penalty from the home side.

In the Premier Woodview beat Square 5-0 with a Mickey O'Kane hat-trick, plus

one each by Owen Armstrong and Anto Reilly. The new leaders are Carrick Rovers who went two points clear with a hard-earned 1-0 win over in-form Albion Rovers where Brian Marron was on the mark from a penalty.

Trim Celtic are also in the fray getting to within one point of Rock with a game in hand after a 4-0 success against relegation-threatened Ardee Celtic.

Paul Campbell, Derek Donohoe, Michael Corrigan and David Conway scored.
