Offaly's James Mulligan awarded juvenile All-Star

James Mulligan (Tullamore Harriers AC) was awarded the Athletics Ireland Juvenile All-Star award for Offaly in recognition of his outstanding athletic achievements in 2011. The award ceremony, which was sponsored by Tipperary Crystal, was held at the Sheraton Hotel, Athlone on Saturday, March 3.

Mulligan specialises in the throws events and during the 2011 season won national medals in the Hammer, Shot and Discus. His biggest success came in the Discus event where he became National Champion in his age group at the Woodie's DIY Juvenile National Track and field Championships.

The prestigious award recognises the hard work and dedication that Mulligan displayed during the 2011 season.
