Brewing up a Bank Holiday storm in The Thatch
The Thatch in Rahan is lining up another musical treat this upcoming bank holiday weekend. Steve and Joe Wall from The Stunning will play an acoustic set on Friday October 24, as part of their limited nationwide tour this autumn. The brothers will be showcasing new songs as well as doing new takes on their extensive back catalogue. Expect all the favourites including 'Bright and Shining Sun', 'Half Past Two' and the floor-filler and foot-tapper classic 'Brewing up a Storm'. Rory Doyle, The Walls" drummer, features as well as a brass section and multiples of Steve and Joe themselves. They are joined onstage by other musicians who appear on the screen, all playing in sync with the live music. An important part of the show are the video projections. It is by no means a low-key acoustic show. The brothers play electric and acoustic guitars, keyboards and percussion, using both hands and feet, so expect to be entertained. Tickets are on sale now from Heartbeat City costing €20 or www.tickets.ie. Buses leave O" Connor Square, Tullamore, at 8.15pm sharp and return at 1am. Ring Devine"s Buses Clara 057 9331006 to reserve a return seat for €5.
