When beauty comes from within

If your definition of natural beauty is healthy, glowing skin, achieved by quality holistic products made from 100% natural essential and plant oils, that give you confidence in your own skin, then Decléor is for you. Decléor is available exclusively in Rose Finlay"s Pharmacy on Main Street, Tullamore, where there is a special offer on right now (see below for details). Decléor expert Lorraine Galvin was in Finlay"s to promote the range last week. She gave me a mini-facial to get acquainted with the Decléor products and I continued using the cleanser, toner and moisturiser to see for myself what they"re like. These French skincare products are top of the range, but instead of being full of outlandish promises and claims, the products promote an ethos of achieving better beauty from within. Lorraine said that using Decléor products is like changing your diet. You are working from the inside out to improve your skin. Decléor"s unique selling point is the 'Aroma Duo Concept'. For each skin type, there is a treatment oil, or 'arommessence serum', which helps to treat the skin"s problems or imbalances from within. You apply the oil before moisturising. It enters your bloodstream and can make lasting changes to skin problems. The moisturiser then penetrates deeper into the skin, hydrating at a deeper level. Because this oil works from the inside out, its like a detox for your skin. For my facial, Lorraine used the Cleansing Milk and the Tonifying Lotion, both suitable for all skin types. There"s no alcohol in them which mean the products are gentle to use and don"t strip the skin. Next was the Puretics Exfoliator facial scrub. This is made from powders instead of beads or grains so it"s very mild on your skin, while getting right into your pores. Lorraine then applied the Balm Essential which is a waxy-type barrier cream. It"s normally for use at night, but it doesn"t do your skin any harm by using it any time. It contains basil, so it"s very healing and can be used to treat cuts and bruises. It can also be used on the face to protect against the elements. Next up was the Hydra-floral Anti-pollution mask. This mask contains seeds from the African Drum Stick tree. It was discovered by women who had to wash in dirty water, they used to throw these seeds into the water to clean it. The seeds are very potent and the mask treats skin problems caused by daily exposure to air pollution, dirt and grime. This mask is a drink for the skin as it is very hydrating. It will sink in to the most dehydrated areas the quickest. My skin was obviously very dehydrated as the mask disappeared within minutes. Once it was removed my skin felt really vitalised. This mask can be used once or twice a week or even overnight with some balm underneath. Lorraine then used the Anti-Pollution Moisturiser which has a 'drip-feed' effect, meaning it continues to work on the face over eight hours. She then applied some Expressions Relaxing Eye Cream to help even out the crow"s feet. The anti-wrinkle eye creams are a great seller in the range, as they have a 'pop-corn' effect, filling out the wrinkles. After the facial, my skin was not only glowing, but feeling so fresh and clean I didn"t want to touch it. I continued using the cleanser, toner, oil and moisturiser throughout the week and thought my skin was looking brighter. I did have a little break-out, but that probably means my skin is detoxing. As my skin continued to look bright and radiant this week, it felt like I was reaping the benefits of eight hours sleep and eating plenty of fruit and veg, thanks to Decléor.
