Referee award for GAA stalwart

The AGM of Doon GAA took place on Sunday last. Outgoing Chairman Hughie Egan addressed the largest attendance at an AGM in recent times and thanked all those who helped run the club so successfully over the past year. Special tribute was paid to both lotto sellers and lotto buyers as without both, the club would struggle to survive. President Billy Healy also paid special tribute to outgoing Chair Hughie Egan, citing the enormous work driven by Hughie over the past couple of during his tenure in the post and he is handing the reins of Chair back in a very strong position. The following officers were elected for 2009: President: Billy Healy; Chairman: Gerry Brazil; Vice: Chairman: Padraig Corcoran; Secretary: Ciaran Heavin; Assistant Secretary: Paul Maloney; Treasurer: Tom Corcoran; PRO: Enda Maloney; Safety Officer: Paul Maloney. Delegates to County Board: Hughie Egan, Gerry Brazil, Billy Healy; Tom Corcoran. Committee Members: Joe Murray, Sean Rohan, Kieran Egan, Ger Ryan, Colm McInney, Hughie Egan. Membership For 2009 Membership is now due for all those who wish to join for 2009. This includes those who wish to use the walking track at the GAA pitch. Fees are €20 for adult or €30 for family membership. Membership can be paid to any member of the committee. Lotto Numbers There was no winner of this week"s jackpot. This week"s numbers drawn (19th January) were 1, 6, 23 and 25. There was 1 match 3 winner of which was Liam Fitzpatrick, Shannonbridge. Next week"s jackpot is €2,200 and the draw will be held in Shannonbridge on Monday 26th January.
