Tullamore entertain Portlaoise next weekend

2nd Team The Provincial Towns 2nd Cup starts next weekend when Tullamore entertain Portlaoise on Saturday evening under lights with a 7pm K.O. This a clash of the top two teams in the Leinster Provincial 2nds League Division 1 and will be a close affair. The league table shows Portlaoise ahead but Tullamore have a game in hand. Tullamore will be relying on players of the calibre of Adam Hughes, Brian Mahon, Alvin Bracken, Ciaran McNeill and Mick Hart to swing the result in favour of the home team. It was a bad weekend for local teams as Edenderry, Mullingar, Roscrea, Portarlington and Longford all lost their first round games. There is no match this weekend. Under 20s Team The U-20s travel to Dublin on Sunday for their final league match against U.C.D. safe in the knowledge that they have qualified for the Leinster Semi-Final at home on Sunday 15th February. 3rds Team This team is kicking off this weekend with a friendly which is being arranged. The Area League involving five teams starts the following weekend and any new players should talk to Manager, Paddy Brickley at training on Friday night.
