Mixed Doubles Spring League Competition

The first tennis competition of the season kicked off with a bang last week with a total of 38 players entered into the mixed doubles spring league competition. The Competitions Committee managed to organise the players into mixed pairings and 3 groups and a match schedule was sent out in the post to each participant. Play is scheduled to take place every Tuesday and Wednesday right through to the end of March, with all 3 courts fully booked up on both nights from 6:30pm to 9pm. The first to get to 9 games will win the fixture with matches expected to be played either on or before the scheduled dates. All matches must be played by March 29th - the entry fee for the competition should be paid to the group leader. Monday Night Tennis The regular Monday night tennis will be starting back up shortly. This night is open to both members and non-members to play. Paying For Court Lights The Committee would like to draw members" attention to the fact that shortly they will be introducing the disc system for lights - a text message will be sent to all members to notify them of the start date of this system.
