David Norris Offaly supporters group set up

A support group to campaign for David Norris in the upcoming presidential election has been set up in Tullamore. Co-ordinator of the group independent councillor Sean O'Brien said the newly formed group feels "very strongly" that Senator Norris is an excellent candidate and deserving of support. "There is a very strong belief among many people that the position of President should be independent from the party political system," he said. "As an Independent Senator for many years David Norris is clearly seen as not being part of the party system and has been outspoken on many issues without fear or favour."
