Help needed as Birr bookie broken into

Gardaí in Birr are appealing for help from the public after a bookmaker's shop in the town was broken into in the early hours of last Wednesday morning, October 26. According to gardaí, Carty's Bookmaker on Connaught Street in the town was broken into sometime between 2.30am and 3am on the night in question, with the culprits making quite a bit of noise in the process and making off with a small amount of cash. Gardaí are asking anyone who may have seen anything suspicious in the area to get in touch with Birr Garda Station on 057 9169710.
