Offaly Association London celebrates 50 years...and you're invited!

Members of the Offaly Association in London are gearing up for a very special occasion. On February 4 next the organisation will host its 50th annual celebration. PRO Peter Hynes told the Offaly Independent this week up to 300 guests are expected at the event, and tickets are still available. The Offaly Association in London was set up in 1962, with the aims of helping Offaly people in the city to meet socially, contributing to the welfare of the Irish community in London, contributing to worthy and appropriate funds in Offaly and promoting Irish culture in London. The organisation's committee still meets monthly at Camden's Irish Centre. The Irish Centre is Camden is also the venue for the upcoming 50th annual celebrations. The dinner dance event will take place in the MacNamara Suite, with dinner at 7.30pm and a late bar with dancing until late to music by Caroline McHugh and Salt Creek.
