Cllr Brendan Killeavy thinks the HSE should fully utilise Tullamore's old hospital building.

HSE should use old hospital as offices - Cllr

Tullamore town councillor Brendan Killeavy has suggested that the HSE stops paying rent for offices throughout Offaly and instead uses the facilities at the old hospital building in Tullamore. The councillor will bring a motion to that effect to the next meeting of Tullamore town council, scheduled for next Thursday (February 9). "The HSE is renting several big offices around Offaly and paying substantial rents," Cllr Killeavy said yesterday (Thursday) in advance of next week's council meeting. He went on to say that relocating HSE offices to the old hospital building in Tullamore would free up money currently used on rent for patient care. He said the old hospital building could quite easily be brought up to the necessary standard for offices.
