THE Combined Counties FL has launched a €15,000 Monster Club Draw - and also announced further off-field developments at a media briefing in Tullamore. The league, which caters for many clubs in Offaly, is giving people a great opportunity to win match tickets, flights and accommodation to two Republic of Ireland matches in this summer's European Championships. Other prizes include a sun holiday for two, flights, accommodation and match tickets to one of Ireland's away World Cup qualifiers later in the year, and match tickets and accommodation for a Barclay's Premier League game in the 2012/13 season. Also among the generous list of prizes is a 48'' HD Flat Screen TV, a weekend trip for two in Ireland, a HP Laptop, an Apple i-Phone 4S, a Samsung Galaxy S2, and 12 cash prizes. Tickets are priced at €10 each and are available from CCFL committee members and participating CCFL clubs. The Monster Draw will be made on Monday, May 7, in the Bridge House, Tullamore. Meanwhile, the CCFL has also announced its intention to officially launch its underage development strategy in the near future. A statement from the league said the strategy has the full backing of the FAI, and "will act as a blueprint for the development of football in the region for the next five years". The statement said CCFL officials briefed the (FAI) about the plans at a recent meeting, where its proposal was 'well received' and "seen as the ideal pathway to develop football for the young footballers and their clubs'. The CCFL's Executive plan to present the strategy to its clubs in the coming weeks, the statement added. The league has also announced a further new initiative in the shape of the CCFL Annual Photo Awards. Further details will be published at a later date.
