Evergreen to launch EP in Birr
Young Offaly rock band Evergreen will launch a four track EP at a Birr Theatre show on February 18. Launched last summer, Evergreen's line-up is Darren Molloy from Tullamore on vocals and guitar, Oisin Clarke from Birr on bass, Jason Maleney from Ferbane on drums and Noel Brennan from Moate also on vocals and guitar. Known already for their originality and presence on stage, Evergreen always give it 110%. The band was recently added to the line up for this year's Teen Aware event in Charleville Castle next April, where they will play on the same stage as acts including Bressie, Mundy and the Kapitols. Also performing on February 18 in Birr Theatre will be support acts Niamh Kenny and Jonny Zero. Evergreen's EP will be available on the night for free, and entry to the launch gig is priced at just €8. Tickets are on sale now from Birr Theatre and Arts Centre on 057 9122911.
