Gardai appeal for information on Clara incidents

Gardai are appealing for information from locals in relation to two unconnected incidents in Clara over the past week. Last Thursday week, March 29, shots were fired at a house in Marian Square at approximately 11pm. In a second incident on Tuesday night last, April 3, two men were taken to hospital following a disturbance at Erry Mill in the town at approximately 10.15pm. According to a garda spokesman a man and a woman who were inside the property at Marian Square when the shots were fired on March 29 escaped injury, though the front of the house sustained a small amount of damage. The scene of the incident was preserved and a technical examination has since taken place. Meanwhile a car found burnt out in Ballycumber later is suspected to have been used during the gun attack. In a separate incident last Tuesday night two men aged 32 and 19 were taken to hospital with minor injuries following a disturbance in the Erry Mill area of the town. No arrests have been made in connection with the incident. Gardai are continuing to appeal for information relating to both incidents.
