Stand up comedy comes to The Chestnut

The Chestnut Bar in Birr is set to host its first night of stand up comedy next Sunday, June 3. Headliner Christian Talbot of BBC's "Blame Game" is travelling to the town from Belfast, where he headlines top comedy clubs, to talk about life in the north as a sufferer of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. The funny man will be helped in evoking audience laughter by male Susan Boyle lookalike Geo Show as well as Mullingar's Alison Spittle and more. The gig on the night will be MC'd by Jonathon Sheehan and those looking for a laugh will be welcomed to the 9pm gig with no cover charge.
