The Edenderry Entertainers Commemorative Committee is to launch a special CD remembering the late Kevin Farrell. The CD entitled A Tribute to Kevin Farrell: A Life Well Lived is to be unveiled at the launch event on Thursday, September 13, in Larkin's at 7pm. Kevin was the a founding member of Edenderry's Entertainers Committee and for many years was the driving force behind its many fundraising activities. When Kevin passed away the whole town came out to pay their respects and it became very obvious to the committee just how important this man had been to so many families and individuals around the area. The 22-track CD features music by Joe Dolan, Foster & Allen and a massive selection of local artists. All of the songs on this album were given to be used without any hesitation and every artist featured on it was delighted to be associated with such a worthwhile project. The inlay card contains tributes from just some of the many well-known personalities who regarded Kevin as their friend, people such as Seamus Darby, Johnny Logan and Larry Cunningham. A Life Well Lived is a showcase of local talent. Even the painting on the cover is the work of renowned painter Willie Redmond All proceeds from the sale of the CD are to go to The Offaly Hospice and The Edenderry Lourdes Fund at the request of Kevin's family. The production and printing of the album was all sponsored by local businesses and friends of Kevin. A Life Well Lived will be available to buy on the night for €10 and in a variety of outlets in Edenderry. "We are very proud of this album and what it represents, and we would ask everyone to please support it.
