All set for Offaly Playday!

Offaly's annual Playday will take place on Sunday, September 30 next in the grounds of Tullamore Town Football Club in the Axis Business Park from 3pm until 5pm. The event is a celebration of a child's right to play and also highlights the importance of play in children's lives. The event, which is organised by Offaly County Council in conjunction with Offaly County Childcare Committee and Offaly Sports Partnership, was launched in Kilcormac Community Childcare. At the launch Offaly County Council chair Peter Ormond said the event is an opportunity for families to have some fun and spend some time together. Children up to the age of twelve will be catered for at Playday, where activities wil include puppet shows, make and do, music, mini sports events, storytelling, face painting and bouncing castles. Admission is free and everyone is welcome. All children must however be accompanied by a responsible adult.
