Offaly duo included on Sunday Times Irish Rich List 2013
Stephen Grant Jnr and Snr of Crinkle in Birr have been revealed as number seven on the just released list of top 20 newcomers to the Sunday Times Irish Rich List 2013. The wealth of the duo behind boiler manufacturing company Grant Engineering has been estimated as €59m.
Their wealth places them in the same position on the list as Limerick brothers Patrick (24) and John Collison (22) and Cork’s Philip James Whitaker. The Collison brothers made their first €3.5m while teenagers after inventing a selling management system for eBay and are now based in Silicon Valley with their online payments company Stripe, while Mr Whitaker is based in Cork with motor vehicle retail company Johnson and Perrott.
Top spot on the list of new entrants to the Sunday Times Irish Rich List is taken by Joseph, James and Rosemary Sheehan of Blackrock and Galway Clinics. Their wealth is estimated at €181m.
The 17th annual Sunday Times Irish Rich List of the wealthiest 250 people in the island of Ireland will be published as an extra 104 page magazine with this Sunday’s Sunday Times.
