"We Will be Strong" debut tonight
After months of hard work Tullamore's Brendan Keeley is looking forward to launching his motivational song “We Will be Strong” in the Tullamore Court Hotel tonight (Friday).
“We Will be Strong” was recorded on January 27 last in O'Connor Park in Tullamore. “Everything that possibly could fall out of the sky did that day,” Brendan laughed this week, “but still 2,000 people turned up.” The 2,000 strong chorus has since been added to Brendan's recordings, resulting in a final product that will be performed live tonight at 8pm.
Tonight's event will feature Brendan Keeley, the Tullamore Gospel Choir and new band The Booze Brothers. “We Will be Strong” will be performed by Brendan and the choir, before he presents a copy of the single to local radio station Midlands 103 for airplay.
Also present on the night will be Henry Healy, Tom Parlon and Michael Duignan among others. Members of the public are also invited, with tickets available at the door for €5. Copies of the CD will be available to purchase on the night for €3, while it will also be available in music stores and online on iTunes.
Speaking to the Offaly Independent this week Brendan said he's happy with the project, and has plans to follow it up with another for an even wider audience shortly.
