Birr's Sheila the big winner on Winning Streak

Birr’s Sheila Bergin was the biggest winner on last Saturday’s Winning Streak, after her brother Bryan played on her behalf and won prizes to the value of €57,000. Total prizes won on the gameshow by contestants from Offaly, Cork, Laois and Cavan reached €180,000.

The Winning Streak gameshow is entered when players submit a three star ticket. Sheila bought her lucky ticket at Bernard Colclough’s supermarket in Roscrea, just across the border in Tipperary.

On the same show last Saturday night Pawel Szczpaniak from Cork came away with €31,000, Martina Aherne won a prize including a holiday to New York and a Suzuki Gran Vitara car totalling €47,000 on behalf of her mother Margaret Brady from Cork, John Goggin from Portlaoise won a holiday to Tobago to take his total prize winnings to €21,000 and Dale Hogan from Cavan won a holiday to Prague to bring his total prize amount to €24,000.

Dream player on the show was Kathleen Reid from Monaghan, who won €15,000.
