"Stars in Their Eyes" contestants revealed

The local line up for Tullamore Parish fundraiser “Stars in Their Eyes” has been revealed. The fundraising show based on the popular television format will take place in the Tullamore Court Hotel on May 17 and will feature locals impersonating famous singers.

Contestants have this week been revealed as Fr Shane Crombie, Robbie Spain, Karen Flanagan, Andrius Kozlovskis and Kotryna Kozlovskyte, Gena Nugent, Tom Maher and Jim Smyth, David Mills and Glenn Ryan.

It’s reported they are all practising hard and are really excited to be given the opportunity of saying “Tonight, I’m going to be.....”, disappear, then re-appear in a puff of smoke as their hero.

Tickets to the event in aid of the parish centre are available now from the parish centre and the Tullamore Court Hotel at €10 for adults, €5 for students, children and pensioners and €25 for family tickets covering two adults and two children. Financial support can also be given by donating at www.mycharity.ie/event/starsintheireyes/.

“This promises to be a fantastic fun filled night with a panel of esteemed judges who will critique the acts,” parish administrator Tom Whelan said. “Albert Fitzgerald from Midlands 103 will be master of ceremonies and audience members will have the chance to vote for their favourite contestant, so make sure you get your ticket to avoid disappointment.”
