Christmas Market this weekend

Offaly’s Christmas Market Festival kicks off today (Friday) and will continue in Tullamore’s O’Connor Square until Sunday.

The market will boast over 40 stalls over the weekend, and will welcome visitors each day from 10am until 6pm.

Along with market stalls, the festival will include entertainment from a number of local schools, bands and performers.

Today it will be the turn of Durrow NS and Scoil Mhuire. Tomorrow will include a visit from Tullamore Gospel Choir at 3pm, while Sunday will include a performance from the children of St Mary’s Youth Centre at noon, children from Rahan School at 1pm and local singer songwriter Olivia Burke from 2pm.

Of course a Christmas event wouldn’t be complete without Santa. He will visit O’Connor Square on Sunday from 4.30pm, after being led down High Street by Tullamore Town Band.
