Lotto won in offaly

The winning €4,904,904 midweek lotto ticket was sold by Crinkle Super Store near Birr, Co Offaly.

Store owner Tom Geraghty said he received a call from a National Lottery representative confirming the ticket was bought in his store.

The winning ticket was a €4 quick pick. It was purchased at Crinkle Super Store on Monday.

'It's a great news story and I'm so thrilled,' Tom said this morning. While he doesn't know who hit the jackpot, he is hopeful it was won by someone in the locality.

The winning numbers are 9,11,12,29,31 and 35. The bonus number was 1.
