Some good weather on the way in offaly

New Zealander, Ken Ring, was approached by Dulux Weathershield to give a sneak peak at what to expect from summer 2015.
Ken was asked to specifically look at Co Offaly and predict the hottest spells. His predictions are as follows:
Highest temperature: June 10-11, July 19-21 and August 1-2 and 21-22 with temperatures around 25-26 °C
Other warm periods: Mid July, July 30 to August 2, August 7-8 and August 18 to September 1.
Best summer spells: First half of June and July 8 to 10 and 15 to 20.
For Ireland overall, Ken predicts the best of the summer weather for the first two weeks of June, with temperatures reaching around the mid twenties on June 10 and 11. Ireland can also expect the middle two weeks of July (6 to 20) to be warm along with further good weather in late August (18-26). May is forecast to be the wet month.
In relation to the hottest day of the year, Ken said “the hottest day of the year is likely to be around June 10 with temperatures reaching around 25 °C however further warm days will followaround July 20 and August 21.”
So when is the best time to take holidays?  Ken Ring believes “the best time to travel abroad is likely to be May, the wettest month, although this is not great for school holidays.  Other wet dates include between June 16 and 23, July 1, 5-7, 12-13, 21-27, with a wet period between August 2-17. If planning a staycation in Ireland and you want to make the most of the weather, I’d bank on June as being the driest overall.”
