Man critical after stabbing incident in Portlaoise
A man is in a critical condition in hospital after a stabbing incident in Portlaoise this morning.
Gardaí are investigating an incident at Coote Street, Portlaoise at 4am this morning.
The injured man, who is in his 30s, was discovered on the road with stab injuries to the abdomen.
He man was taken to Midlands Regional Hospital but has since been transferred to St Vincent’s in Dublin where he remains in a critical condition.
The scene is preserved and a technical examination will be carried out in the area.
