Louise Healion, Kilkenny and Caoifhlionn O'Donovan from Tullamore, who are both members of The Academy Chamber Choir have been awarded a place in Europe's Pretigious EuroChoir.

Tullamore singers awarded prestigious place in Euro Choir

Louise Healion and Caoifhlionn O’Donovan, both members of The Academy Chamber Choir have been awarded a place in Europe’s prestigious EuroChoir.

The EuroChoir panel, auditions and selects a small group of young skilled singers from around Europe, and brings them together for nine days to rehearse a challenging program of European Choral music with two renowned conductors.

The young singers spend nine days working together and go on to present their work in public concerts in prestigious venues.

The EuroChoir is organised every year in a different country and this year the Choir is based in Vaison-la-Romaine, France taking place in August.

Caoifhlionn and Louise are wished the very best of luck in their choral music making journey this summer!

This EuroChoir project aims to promote European choral and to encourage cultural exchange within Europe by fostering the emergence of the next generation of choir music talents.
