Ellie Molloy from Tullamore.

Local girl to appear on Late Late Toy Show

Tullamore native Ellie Molloy (5) has been chosen as one of the demonstrators on this year's Late Late Toy Show which will be broadcast next Friday night, November 29.

Ellie has been picked to ride a bike, car or a toy horse on the eagerly anticipated show, which signals the start of Christmas for many.

She met host Ryan Tubridy at the recent rehearsals in the RTE studios in Donnybrook and according to Lorraine Wynne, her teacher at the Midland Drama School, she has already won over the Late Late team with her natural charm.

She will be joined on the show by her fellow Midland Drama School students Tom Landy (Roscrea) and Finn Loughnane (Mountmellick)

"She is a beautiful little girl who has melted the hearts of 'Tubs' and crew in the studio when rehearsing there recently and so confident at such a young age. Tom Landy travels to Tullamore to Midland Drama Schools every Saturday for singing lessons and drama lessons and has been selected from many who auditioned to sing on the show. Tom is the next Micheal Buble and has wowed the Toy show team with his unique voice.

Finn is a huge personality and had the toy show team in stitches of laughter during his audition recently in RTE Studios," Lorraine said.

The young trio are the latest in a long line of students from the Midland Drama School to appear on the Late Late Toy Show.

“We have been very lucky to have many of our students featured on the show for many years and it's been a dream come true and memories to treasure," Lorraine said.
