Garda appeal after local burglaries

Gardaí are appealing for assistance from the public in relation to two Offaly burglaries that occurred in the past week.
Last Thursday night, November 21, a private house was broken into at Killeen, Daingean, and a quantity of cash was stolen.
The break-in took place overnight, between the hours of 9pm on Thursday night and 9am Friday morning.
In the early hours of Tuesday morning this week (November 26) thieves made off with a sum of cash and stock following a break-in at a community shop in Pullough.
Anyone with information which may assist Gardaí, or who witnessed anything unusual at the above locations, is asked to contact Tullamore Garda Station on 057 9327600.
The Gardaí would also like to inform the public that their Christmas Road Safety Campaign has got underway.
Between now and Christmas, there will be increased checkpoints on roads throughout the county, including random breath testing to check for drink driving.
