Over €100k of cannabis seized in Birr
Cannabis worth over €100,000 has been seized in Birr town today following the search of a house.
Three men, aged in their 20s, 30s and 40s, were subsequently arrested under Section 15 of the Misuse of Drugs Act 1977/94 and are currently detained for questioning at Birr and Tullamore Garda Stations.
The operation was mounted by gardaí from the Laois/Offaly Divisional Drugs Unit and Portlaoise/Tullamore Detective Units assisted by members from Birr Garda Station on Monday. Investigations are continuing.
