Well done to Aisling Gallagher a Leaving Certificate student at Sacred Heart School Tullamore who has won a prestigious national History award in the Decade of Centenaries Competition.

She won in the Post-Primary School category for her project reflecting on the War of Independence, entitled - 'The Killing of Sergeant Henry Cronin, October 1920'.

Her curiosity, attention to detail and superior research skills contributed to this outstanding project.
