Clara Heritage Committee presented the winners of their recent successful Halloween Heritage Hunt with their prizes. The event, kindly sponsored by St Brigid's Credit Union, Clara and several local retailers, was a great success and saw a large number of participants getting involved.

The Clara Heritage Committee sourced all of the prizes locally from retailers to show support and solidarity during a very difficult time and to also showcase to the wider community what was on offer in the locality in the run-up to Christmas.

Upon receiving their prizes many of the parents who attended commented that the Halloween Heritage Hunt was a great idea and got them out and about exploring the wider Clara area and discovering many amenities they were unaware of.

Ms Sheena Morcom mentioned to the committee that the event was a great distraction during the height of the lockdown and a fantastic inter-generational exercise as she called on her mother who was originally from Clara to help solve some of the clues which in turn led to a day of reminiscing and pouring over the Tommy Harris photograph books.

Due to the success of the event, it is hoped that the committee will organise a similar hunt next year.
