A sneak preview of Pilkington on Laochra Gael

Offaly's Johnny Pilkington - one of hurling's most colourful characters in the 1990s - will be profiled in TG4's Laochra Gael documentary series this Thursday night, February 4.

In addition to recollections from Johnny Pilkington himself, Offaly trio Michael Duignan, Daithí Regan and Pat Fleury will give their views on the programme.

Former Clare captain Anthony Daly, now a leading hurling pundit, will also provide his insight on the show.

Pilkington won two All-Ireland senior medals with Offaly, in addition to four All-Ireland club medals during his illustrious career with Birr.

The show is at 9.30pm on Thursday and it will be repeated on Sunday, February 7 at 8.25pm.
