Win Fivealley pub and eaterie in raffle!

A pub and restaurant with guest accommodation in Offaly has been put up for a raffle, giving one lucky winner the chance to win the property for only £10 per ticket.

The Fivealley Inn, located on the N52 between Birr and Tullamore, is being put up for a raffle by the Mooney family along with €10,000 in cash and all legal fees paid. 5% of the proceeds raised will also be donated to Offaly Hospice as it continues to fundraise for a new building in the midlands.

The Fivealley Inn sits on the site of an old country shop and was rebuilt to the highest standards in 2003. It was originally built to provide the parish and passers-by with a convenient venue for good food, drinks and entertainment alongside bespoke guest accommodations.

The property sits on an impressive 1.3 acres and boasts a huge car park with two entrances and a large green area with potential for further development.

Included in the property is a comfortable bar area where diners can be seated, with a separate restaurant located at the south side of the building which in the past has served as a function room and an à la carte dining area.

The Fivealley Inn is a well-established venue for Irish country music and inside the main door is a purpose-built cloakroom/ticket box for the option of ticketed events or social evenings, and the bar has become a popular venue for well-known names in entertainment. Outdoor seating is included, as well as a canopy for light protection.

The restaurant has separate entrances on the opposite side of the property allowing for the east operation of a private function, while the bar area has an old-world feel, with a purpose-built furnished gaming area that includes a pool table, a juke box and a modern large 75-inch flat screen flat screen television for customers to watch sporting events on.

The kitchen is fully professional with walk-in fridges, a larder and everything required to operate the business, and the bathrooms are wheelchair accessible.

The Fiveally Inn also operates guest accommodation, with seven ensuite rooms all completed with soft furnishings and carpet. One single ground floor room is wheelchair accessible while the remaining six rooms are upstairs, including a family room which can sleep up to eight people.

The Mooney family say that they are “proud and delighted to offer the opportunity to win this property.”

They believe it can be reopened as a bar and restaurant, a coffee shop or even a bespoke family home.

“The general area is rich in employment and industry and boasts several tourist hubs including Birr Castle, the Kinnity mountain bike trails, and Lough Derg is only 30 minutes away,” the post on raffall.com says.

“The new owners of this property will be handed the keys to a turn-key ready property.”

Detailed videos of the property area available to view on the ‘Win The Fivealley Inn’ Facebook page, and tickets for the raffle can be bought on raffall.com

60,000 tickets will be sold, and the raffle ends when the last ticket is sold or on 30 September 2021, whichever comes sooner.
