Cash and cigarettes stolen from Horseleap shop overnight

A quantity of cash, cigarettes and a till were among the items taken from a shop in Horseleap in the early hours of this morning (Friday).

Gardaí in Tullamore are investigating a burglary at a local convenience store in Horsesleap on the Offaly/Westmeath border overnight.

A quantity of cash, cigarettes, a till and a cigarette dispensing machine were stolen from the premises which has not been named by gardaí.

"If you come across these dumped please contact your local Garda Station," a message on the Garda Síochána Laois Offaly Facebook page said today (Friday).

"We are appealing for any information you might have, and we are particularly interested in speaking to anyone that may have passed through the village of Horseleap overnight between 4am and 5am," it added.
