Offaly Community Recognition Awards launched

Offaly County Council in partnership with the Offaly Independent launched the Offaly Community Recognition Awards 2021 on May 6 last.

Details of the awards are available on the Offaly.ie and Offaly Independent websites and on social media platforms.

The aim of the awards is to acknowledge the outstanding community efforts that individuals and groups have delivered in Offaly in the past year.

The awards ceremony will be celebrated virtually on the Offaly Independent website at 8pm Friday, June 18.

Both the Cathaoirleach of Offaly County Council, and the Chief Executive will speak on the night and the presentation of awards will be made by RTE analyst Michael Duignan, Chairman of Offaly GAA and Offaly Community Champion.

An independent judging panel will adjudicate and awards will be presented to the category winners and runners up.

The closing date for nominations and entries is Tuesday, May 25th at midnight.
