Daingean GAA receives Above and Beyond Award at Offaly Community Recognition Awards

Daingean GAA has won the Above and Beyond Award at the Offaly Community Recognition Awards.

The awards, hosted by Offaly County Council in partnership with Offaly Independent, aim to acknowledge the outstanding community efforts that individuals and groups have delivered in Offaly over the past year.

Daingean GAA won the award for the work they have done in bringing the local community together by organising turf cutting, quiz nights, bingo and charity work.

Accepting the award, Chairperson of Daingean GAA Padraig Keating said the club and its members decided to “step up” during the pandemic and praised those involved in the background and the local community.

Runner up of the award was Bernie Ryan Keegan from Gallen CS.
