€100k cannabis seized in Tullamor

Gardai in Tullamore seized cannabis to the value of approximately €100,000 at a house in the area yesterday, Thursday.

The search of the house under warrant resulted in the seizure.

One male has been arrested and is currently detained under Drug Trafficking legislation.

Gardai say the search was part of #OperationTara whic tackles street-level dealing in cities, towns and villages across the country.

Under Operation Tara, individuals and groups involved in the drug trade will be the target of enforcement activity based on intelligence and the latest crime trends.
