Jerry Fish will play at Spirit of Eden

Spirit of Eden festival takes place on Sunday

The Edenderry Municipal District of Offaly County Council is hosting 'Spirit of Eden', a family-oriented festival this Sunday, August 15, from 12-8pm.

Funding has been provided by the Department of Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media to Offaly County Council under the Local Live Performance Programming Scheme which is aimed at supporting artists who have suffered financially due to Covid.

The Spirit of Eden Festival is an all-day event with live music from midday on O'Connell Square.

There will also be family entertainment and market stalls on the square.

In addition to supporting the arts community, Edenderry Municipal District hopes that this event will boost the economy of the town.

A mix of local musicians will be performing throughout the afternoon including Dave Peyton and Wes Kane - The Toxic Twins. Tara McCormack Midlands 103 is the MC for the event and Midlands 103 will have a live broadcast throughout the day.

O'Connell Square Edenderry will be beautifully decorated by Bui Bolg.

Jerry Fish will be the main act performing at the event.

Two local visual artists will also be launching their exhibitions in the Town Hall. Works from local photographer Jeremy Simpson and local artist Willie Redmond will be on display

Edenderry Municipal District also welcomes the new Edenderry Artisan Market and Food Fayre which will be launched on the day.
