Yellow alert for thundery downpours

There's likely to be some grim weather around for most of tomorrow, with Westmeath and Offaly among the counties that are the subject of a yellow warning alert from Met Éireann.

The warning is for thunderstorms and scattered heavy showers, with localised thundery downpours bringing a risk of spot flooding.

The counties affected are: Offaly, Westmeath, Carlow, Cavan, Donegal, Dublin, Kildare, Kilkenny, Laois, Longford, Louth, Meath, Monaghan, Wexford, and Wicklow.

The expected onset of the bad weather is at noon tomorrow and the weather warning will remain in place until 8pm.
