The return of Fayre in the Square

Following the success of the event held in August where the atmosphere was not dampened by the rain and the sun came out only minutes before opening, O'Connor Square will again come alive this Saturday September 18 from 12.30pm.

This is the second event of its kind held in O'Connor Square and is funded by Tullamore Municipal District and the Minister for Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media, Catherine Martin under the Local Live Performance Scheme. The main objective of this scheme is to provide employment and wellbeing opportunities across the live entertainment sector while supporting high quality artistic output.

Aidan Shortall of Up Close and Personal Promotions has put together a family friendly mix of live music with special guest Mundy. There will also be street theatre, 3D Colouring for the little ones, an outdoor Market and a broadcast live on Midlands 103 where locals can come together, chat with friends and neighbours and support the local business community in the surrounding areas of the newly revitalised O'Connor Square. The health and safety of the community remains among the top priorities at this time and attendees are asked to please respect others and maintain social distance as appropriate. If you don't feel well or are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19, please do not attend the event. Hand sanitiser will be available at the event.

O'Connor Square will be closed to all vehicles for the day making it a safe space for this free live event which promises great music as well as a Taste of what Tullamore has to offer in a relaxed and friendly environment, and remember there's no such thing as bad weather, just bad clothing. Come along and enjoy the fun!
