Ryder Cup draw is a fundraising success for Offaly Hospice

The Ryder Cup may not have gone Europe's way in Whistling Straits, but closer to home the Ryder Cup draw fundraising event in aid Offaly Hospice was a great success in the Central Hotel on Saturday last.

The draw took place at a cabaret function and it was a great night, with Dave Lawlor, Martin Goulding and Joe Cooney providing fantastic entertainment for all present.

"We are delighted that we reached our target to assist Offaly Hospice with their great work. We thank the many people who bought tickets and provided great prizes for the draw.

"It was great to have Mary Murphy from Offaly Hospice present on the night and also Mary and Ned Smyth who have been collecting for Offaly Hospice for the past thirty years," said Sean O' Brien, Captain of the Faithful Golf Society, who organised the event.
