Clara society to join 5,000 others with special show

After the disappointment of having to cancel their 2020 production of 'Shrek' (which is now re-scheduled for April 2022) Clara Musical Society is thrilled to announce it will be joining thousands of theatrical organisations around the globe by producing its own production of Music Theatre International’s ‘All Together Now!’: A Global Event Celebrating Local Theatre.

Theatrical licensor Music Theatre International (MTI) created this one-act 90 minute revue for theatres across the globe to use as a local fundraising event performed over the same weekend of November 12. Clara Musical Society's performance is scheduled for November 12 at 8pm in the GAA Social Centre, joining over 5,000 simultaneous productions in over 40 countries across the globe.

All Together Now! features songs from MTI’s beloved catalogue of musicals including Disney and Cameron Mackintosh’s Mary Poppins, Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, Hairspray, Sister Act, Les Misérables, Disney’s Frozen, Mamma Mia!, Matilda, Rent and many more!

MTI’s President and CEO, Drew Cohen stated: “MTI’s All Together Now! is about bringing people back to the theatre, whether as audience members or cast, crew and musicians. The revue features songs from the world’s most iconic musicals, so there is definitely something for everyone to enjoy. Our goal with this worldwide event is for organisations to provide hope, inspiration and excitement to their communities through the transformative power of musical theatre.“

Clara MS is delighted to have Alan Recks as Director/Musical Director and Lea Carroll as Choreographer. They have been hard at work with the 30 strong cast for the past month. They are all delighted to be back doing what they enjoy, singing and dancing together again.

“We are incredibly excited to celebrate the return of live theatre with a performance of MTI’s All Together Now!,” stated Liz Rickard, Chairperson of Clara MS. “The past year and a half has been a challenging time for everyone, particularly arts organizations. We look forward to welcoming our patrons back with this truly wonderful revue.”

Tickets for this revue can be purchased by calling 087 9366247 from Friday November 5 @ €15 each. Please note, patrons must comply with Covid rules in place at time of this performance. Please ask for details at time of booking
